The Fiberhex LH1200 Provides the optical transmission Channel between OLT and ONU. Generally, ODN is divided into 5 Parts:
- Central Office subsystem
- Feeder Cable subsystem
- Distribution Cable subsystem

- Optical Terminal subsystem

Fiberhex SMART ODN
The Fiberhex LH1200 intelligent ODN Series consists of three parts: the central office equipment (OLT), the user terminal equipment (ONT), and the optical distribution network (ODN). As an important part of the FTTx system, ODN is the optical transmission physical channel between the OLT and the ONU. The ODN consists of five parts: the feeder segment, the cable distribution point, the wiring segment, the cable access point and the household segment. From the ODF rack of the central office room to the feeder section of the cable distribution point, as the trunk optical cable, to achieve long-distance coverage; from the distribution point of the optical cable to the wiring section of the user access point, the nearest optical fiber is allocated to the user area along the feeder cable. The user access point connects to the user terminal to achieve FTTH.
The main passive optical components include Fiber Patch Cords, WDM, Splitter Distribution Box, Fiber Patch Panel, Outdoor Fiber Cabinet, Indoor Optical Distribution Frame, Fiber Terminal Box, Fiber Closure, Fiber Connector, Network Cabinet, etc.
The Fiberhex LH1200 intelligent ODN solution consists of three parts: ODN Management software, smart electric-lable and smart optical splitter.
In the smart ODN solutions, following smart properties are added: optical fiber label ID management, port status collection, port search instructions and visualization in Intelligent ODN Management.
Optical fiber lagel ID management:insert a label ID into the fiber optic connector of the smart ODN products and realize the smart management by reading the label ID information of optical fiber inserted. Label ID is similar to the MAC address, with a global unique identification code, which stores all information of the optical fiber, including the optical fiber routing,the sequence position in the fiber optic cable, and information of fiber optic splitter and distribution module connected to the optical fiber.
Through managing of label ID, managing of optical fiber link of the whole IDN can be realized, such as automatic generation of topology and automatic optical fiber connection check.
